I’ve spent 30 years in advertising and quite frankly still love the business of communication. It has allowed me to work with a wide variety of products and services including motor vehicles, hotels, tourism, finance, work wear, male and female fragrances and toiletries and brands such as Peppers, Intercontinental, Nashua, King Gee, South African Airways, Life Savers, Quick Eze – to name just a few. Sometimes it was status products other times; mums and Copper Kettles desire to get the family to eat carrots. Always there has been the need to learn, whether it was about the market or the products or the consumer motivations. It is this knowledge I bring to my current and future clients. Whether it’s as simple as a sales technique that I’ve seen work or a theme for a conference or solution to a particular marketing problem – my experience will enhance a strategic decision. However that experience has also allowed me to work with a wide range of talented people, particularly young talent involved in the new media – the potential of which is now only being scratched.

George began his career with Alcan Aluminium and worked in the advertising departments of Sterling Pharmaceuticals and LNC (Volkswagen) before joining Froelich Intercon – then a multinational pharmaceutical agency. He went on to become General Manager and partner in a mid sized Australian owned agency Murray Evans. In 1982 he and his partner sold to Grey Advertising a leading multinational agency where he was a Group Account Director involved with New Business and Strategy Development. He trained with Grey in New York on Brand Character and was also seconded to London on behalf of an Australian client then launching overseas. In 1989 he started Griffin Advertising working with many contributors to the process of communication excellence... and went on learning.
